The folks running things at Belle Island Park in Michigan had to do some fast thinking. They opened a new slide last Friday then had to shut it down within hours. Videos of people being launched in the air soon went viral, but the slide wasn't closed for long. The park made some quick adjustments (scrubbing down the surface and adding a little water) to help control the speed and had it back up and running. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured.
