Radio Team 'Battles' Fake Violinist Scammers

I've got to hand it to these guys. This is both genius and funny. Megan and Hairball are on-air radio DJ's (just like me!) in the Quad Cities on WXLP. You see, they were tired of scammers taking advantage of people where they live and decided to do something about it.

If you're not familiar with these violin-scammers, they will stand in parking lots with an 'electric violin' a speaker and a sign saying something like, 'I have three kids and we're hungry, please help'

Then they will stand there and 'play' covers of pop songs over a track, except none of it is real. They're just playing an album and pretending be the person playing the violin that you hear over the recorded track. News teams and other real musicians have been seen confronting them and requesting songs which, of course, they are unable to play but they're still able to get enough people to fall for it that there are a bunch of these all over the country. I've seen them here in Panama City and Tallahassee.

Megan and Hairball decided to make sure that the ones in their city know that they're not falling for it. Way to go guys. This is amazing. Thanks for the laugh!
