Corey Taylor Contributing To Skid Row's Upcoming EP

Skid Row has recruited Corey Tayloof Slipknot and Stone Sour and Halestorm's Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger to contribute to their upcoming EP due out sometime in 2019. This new project will conclude their three-part EP, starting with EPs United World Rebellion: Chapter One in 2013. The band has also recruited DragonForce vocalist ZP Theart.

In an interview with Heavy TV, bassist Rachel Bolan broke the news that metal heavyweights Taylor and Hale were involved in the project.

"We've got a lot of really cool songs, man. It's the first time in our career we've written with people that weren't… just outside guys. We worked with friends; we went to friends first. Like Corey Taylor, who's a good friend of ours. We [went], 'Hey, let's get together,' 'All right,' and we wrote a really cool song. And the cool part is he's a Skid Row fan, and we are Stone Sour and Slipknot fans," he revealed (via MetalInjection).

"And then Lzzy [Hale] and Joe [Hottinger] from Halestorm, we sat down with them and came up with some cool stuff. After all the laughter was done, because Joe Hottinger is one of the funniest people on the face of the earth, and it's just really hard to concentrate when that guy is making you laugh."

“It’s opened up a lot of doors in our mind, because we always were, like, ‘No. We’re writing everything. That’s it. We’re doing it all.’ And I’m, like, ‘Let’s make this super special and just go with people that are friends,” he adds.

This will be Skid Row's first release with ZP Theart after vocalist Tony Harnell left in 2015 after only being in the band for only 8 months. Bolan said at the time, "people go in different directions and grow apart and you have to make a decision. He will always be our brother."
