Closings Bay County

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Bay County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Leaders have not made a decision yet about Thursday.

Courts and Clerk operations will be closed Tuesday, October 9th and Wednesday, October 10th.

All Life Management Center offices will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Genoa Healthcare Pharmacy will be open until noon Tuesday. In mental health emergencies, please call Life Management Center at 850-624-3555.

Bay Town Trolley and Bay Area Transit will suspend service Tuesday and Wednesday.

Panhandle Educators Federal Credit Union will be closing at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 9th. The Panama City Beach location is currently closed. All offices will be closed Wednesday, October 10th.

Bay Arthritis Institute will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tyndall Federal Credit Union branches will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

CareerSource Gulf Coast will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Berg Steel Pipe will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

The City of Panama City and its offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Leaders will determine if it will reopen Thursday after the impacts of the storm.

The Regal Entertainment Group Regency Stadium 11 will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

The ER and trauma center at Bay Medical Sacred Heart Health System MAIN CAMPUS at 615 N. Bonita Ave in Panama City, will remain OPEN for emergency treatment during the hurricane. Hospital patients who cannot be discharged by Tuesday morning will continue to be cared for at the main campus.

 Regions Banks have closed Panama City branches Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System's outpatient clinics Panama City Beach will be closed Tuesday.

The Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System's outpatient clinic in Panama City Beach will be closed Tuesday due to the pending landfall of Hurricane Michael. All canceled appointments will be rescheduled.

The Bay Medical Sacred Heart Beach ER at 1111 Panama City Beach Parkway will close Tuesday, October 9 at 12:00 noon and staff will be reassigned to the main ER.

Lynn Haven city offices will close Monday at 3 p.m. and open again Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

Splash Parks at Cain-Griffin and A.L. Kinsaul will close Monday at 3 p.m. and stay closed through Friday.

Porter Park boat ramp will close Tuesday at noon until further notice.

The Lynn Haven Senior Center will close Tuesday at noon through Friday.

Springfield City Hall is closed as of 2 p.m. Monday and is tentatively scheduled to reopen October 11, 2018.

Activities Cancelled: Panama City - All Athletic events for the week have been canceled. Make up dates will be announced as soon as they are rescheduled.

 Lynn Haven - The Fall Concert Series scheduled for Thursday is canceled.

All sporting events, including practices, will be canceled for the week.

Resources/Shelters: Hospitals - The ER and Trauma Center at Bay Medical Sacred Heart Health System main campus on North Bonita Avenue in Panama City will remain open for during Hurricane Michael for emergencies. Patients who cannot be discharged will continue to be cared for at the main campus.

The Bay Medical Beach Emergency Room in Panama City Beach will close Tuesday at noon.

Bay County - Two shelters will open Tuesday at 10 am at Deane Bozeman School, located at 3410 State 77, Panama City, Florida 32409 and Northside Elementary School, located at 2001 Northside Drive, Panama City, Florida 32405. Both include a general population and special needs shelter for those who are registered.

Panama City - Trash Collections will run Tuesday but will be suspended Wednesday until further notice.

Lynn Haven - Sandbags will be available for all Lynn Haven residents and businesses Monday at noon until 6 p.m. at the Sports Complex. Residents must bring a form of ID and can bring bags. The city will supply up to 10 bags per household.

City leaders ask residents to not put debris or other items on the side of the road until after the storm passes. Trash pickups could be impacted as well.

Tyndall -

Tyndall Air Force Base officials have announced the base is providing transportation to base personnel and their families who are without transportation. Personnel should contact their Unit Control Center to be added to the passenger manifest and receive time and location details.

Base Housing pick-up: Balfour Beatty Community Center: Bldg 4700 Pick up time: 0800 (10/9/2018)

Restrictions: 1 large luggage piece per family 1 carry on piece per person (Ensure you have 72-hour's worth of personal supplies) No pets allowed.

Dorm Pick-up: Berg-Liles Dining Facility: Bldg 1690 Pick up time: 0800 (10/9/2018)

Restrictions: 72-hour bag only

Ensure you have enough items (i.e. diapers, clothes)/snacks/drinks to last a 5-9 hour bus ride to the Safe Haven location of Maxwell AFB.

Those planning to use the available shelters, should bring all items recommended in the Tyndall Natural Disaster handbook. Hurricane information and checklists are available on Tyndall's website at http://www.tyndall.af.mil/Hurricane.

There are no shelters at Tyndall AFB.
