Stainless Steel is a musical duo consisting of two longtime professional musicians, John Cannon and Bryan Whitley. Both are residents of Panama City, Florida. Stainless Steel's versatility, variety of music and unique sound make them one of the most sought after duos on the Gulf Coast.
Embracing a purist approach, John and Bryan interject their own personal styles into their interpretations of well-known classic, beach and popular music. High energy versions of tunes by such artists as Jimmy Buffett, the Eagles, and Bob Marley are performed nightly without the aid of backing tracks, and they are always adding new material to their repertoire.
John plays acoustic guitar to provide rhythm, chordal tonalities and percussion. He also sings lead vocal, taking particular pride in his accurate renditions of many well-known Jimmy Buffett songs.
Bryan plays the traditional instrument of the islands, a set of double second steel drums, with amazing dexterity. He provides a variety of textures, from lead melody to churning rhythm to subtle background. Bryan also sings a wealth of background vocals.
John and Bryan are veteran performers with more than 30 years of experience entertaining people between them. They know how to be flexible and create a fun atmosphere anywhere.
