(Fairfax, VA) -- A Virginia jury has found in favor of Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The jury has awarded Depp 15-million-dollars. The jury also found in favor of Heard in some parts of her countersuit against Depp, but only awarded her two-million dollars.

The jury had reached a verdict in the trial, but the court took an unexpected recess. The judge said the jury needed to fill out a dollar amount for each defamation count in their jury forms.

Depp sued his ex-wife for 50-million dollars over an op-ed piece she wrote in The Washington Post about domestic violence. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star claimed the article hurt his career and caused him to lose roles in films. Heard countersued for 100 million.
