Little Big Town has “been dying to share this news,” the beloved country quartet said on their social media channels as they unveiled 2023 tour dates, set to kick off this spring. The group is “beyond excited to bring our ‘Friends of Mine’ tour to a city near you.’

Little Big Town will start the “Friends of Mine Tour” on Thursday, April 13, at the BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham, Alabama. The tour includes stops in Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma and other destinations before its finale on Sunday, July 16 at Grand Theater at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Little Big Town will bring special guests along on the tour, though those guests were not announced as of publication time on Wednesday (January 25).

The “Friends of Mine Tour” comes shortly after the group released their 10th studio album, Mr. Sun, in September 2022. The 16-track project is one that aims to capture “reality, love, and reuniting.” Some of the biggest songs in the collection include “All Summer,” “Better Love,” “Hell Yeah,” “Three Whiskeys and the Truth,” “Rich Man” and others.

“Any time we make a record, we hope that when the fans hear it, they identify with parts of their own lives or their past experiences and can make the song their own and their own story, and this record is no different,” Kimberly Schlapman — who performs in Little Big Town with Jimi WestbrookKaren Fairchild and Phillip Sweet — said in a statement. “I hope and pray that when fans hear this, they go, ‘Yes! I’ve been there’ or ‘Yes, I so badly want that,’ or ‘Yeah, I know I’m not the only one who’s been through that.’ It just means everything to us when fans come up and say that song got me through this moment in my life or that song means everything to me or we had that song at my wedding. I mean, just any of those things means that all that work and time and everything we put into making a record, it means that it’s also someone else’s story and it’s just the biggest compliment.”
