The overnight non-tropical weather turns out is worse than expected. The National Weather Service's meteorologist Luke Culver says rainfall totals range from 6 to 8 inches in some areas to over 11 inches in others like Homestead. He adds that wind gusts range from 40-60 mph in the metro areas and along the coast from 70 to 75 mph.
Fort Lauderdale city facilities will be closed today, and parking enforcement will not take place at city parking garages and facilities.
The Water Trolley and LauderGo Micro Mover services are suspended until further notice
