Megan Moroney’s third studio record, Cloud 9, is due to arrive in early 2026, she confirmed in a highly-anticipated announcement on Tuesday morning (November 11).

Moroney, 28, posted the dreamy album artwork on Instagram with the caption, “it’s a long way down 🩷 MY NEW ALBUM CLOUD 9 IS OUT FEBRUARY 20TH!!!”

“I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,” Moroney said in a statement. “Similar to the first two albums, it’s all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”

Moroney’s long-awaited album announcement arrives shortly after she confirmed the record’s new signature color. The Georgia-born artist famously defined her debut era, Lucky, with the color green, and on Sunday (November 9), she officially said farewell to her blue chapter — representing her sophomore album, Am I Okay? — and looked ahead to the next phase of her career. Shortly after she shared a video on her social media accounts confirming her new signature color is pink, Moroney kicked off a cryptic countdown on her website that teased an announcement at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT on Tuesday morning.

The reigning Country Music Association New Artist of the Year (who is a performer and top nominee at the 2025 show this month) has begun to usher in her Cloud 9 era with a few releases throughout the year. She dropped “6 Months Later” in June, a post-breakup anthem that quickly became a scream-sing moment with her audiences nationwide. Most recently, Moroney debuted “Beautiful Things,” a heartfelt ballad that “I wrote for my niece, actually,” she shared when she performed the song live in South Carolina before its October release. “And I think this song is just a great reminder that we’re all going through something, so just be nice to each other.”

So far, Moroney has confirmed Cloud 9 will include the title track, “6 Months Later” and “Beautiful Things.” Other songs are blurred out in the track listing Moroney posted on Instagram. See her album announcement here:
