Motel Or Jail? Florida Sheriff Says There's Vacancy At The "Green Roof Inn"

posted by Jessi Minneci -

A Florida sheriff wants everyone to know that he has plenty of room for whomever want a stay at the accommodating county jail.

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly says there's vacancy at the “Green Roof Inn,” also known as the Flagler County jail.

For over a year, Staly has referred to the joint as the "Green Roof Inn," and now it looks like the name is going to stick.

Three new signs are displayed at the Flagler County jail. The most eye-catching one being a retro-neon motel sign complete with a blinking "VACANCY" light that was purchased with drug-seized assets.

“We have a 1 star rating and we’re working to lower that as I’m speaking,” Staly said in a video promoting the inn... err... jail.

Accommodations include free transportation to the courthouse or state prison, group bathrooms and showers and no privacy.
