These good Samaritans saw a stranded orca on the rocks and jumped to the rescue. They think the orca was hunting high near the rocks at high tide and got stuck when the tide moved out quickly. When they got there, the orca was very alive, but desperately in need of some water. They contacted NOAA, but it would be a while before they could get to them. They got to work with buckets and eventually a fire hose and pump from the boat to bring some relief to the whale. I love how the video shows and tells you about how the whale seemed to take immense comfort from their help. NOAA got there and continued to help the whale until the tide came in and the whale was able to return to it's pod. Great work guys!! Definitely worth the watch and a neat experience for these young people.
