Robert is the 18 year old son of the late wildlife expert and conservationist Steve Irwin. He works at the Australia Zoo and is following in his father's footsteps. Robert and his family have a reality show on Animal Planet called 'Crikey! It's the Irwins.'
In the video below Robert narrowly escapes when a 12-foot crocodile named Casper chases him while they were filming the season finale of the reality show. They were trying to see if the crocodile was thriving in the new habitat they had recently moved him too.
Robert captioned the Instagram post with an explanation of why they do this. "By getting in their enclosures with them, and letting them put on those huge strikes from the water’s edge, they get to use all of their predatory instincts and they just love it!"
Either way, you wouldn't catch me within 1000 feet of that mean 'ole crocodile.
