I'm sitting at work typing this and missing my little boys. Mac (4.5) Finn (almost 2) are so awesome, but just this morning, Finn decided that 3:45am was a perfect time to wake up and start his day. Now I go to bed and wake up pretty early most days but last night I was at the Stars and Guitars concert and was MCing the likes of Thompson Square and the Band Perry. So I wasn't too happy about this, but we had some cuddles and some quiet time for an hour before I had to get ready and go to work.
I guess it was kind of ironic that I came across this TikTok from Thomas Rhett. He's throwing out a new song he wrote that perfectly mirrors the season of life I'm in right now.
It goes along the same vein of country songs you may know like Kenny Chesney's 'There Goes My Life' and Trace Adkins 'Your Gonna Miss This' and it had me in tears reminding me that this time is short and never coming back. I guess it's not a great country song if it doesn't make you feel something. Good work Thomas. I'm crying into my keyboard.
