We haven't had a new radio single from Jake Owen in a year, so I'm glad to see that he's got a new song for us coming out on Friday. I do think it's interesting how he says "This is me doing the promo for it instead of some countdown..."
I feel like Jake is referencing Carrie Underwood's latest announcement of her single "Ghost Story" which she teased for several days with a series of cryptic social media posts that revealed more and more as it got closer to release day. He's free to announce his business any way he wants, just like Carrie is free to release her songs with as much dramatic flare as she wants. I love you Jake, but no need to throw shade!
