I was raised on 90's country. It is the bread and butter of my entire musical upbringing and Travis Tritt was one of the CORE artists that made up the radio rotation of the day. Plus the mullet was peak 90's country along with the likes of Billy Ray Cyrus an early Blake Shelton. I'll never forget the music video trilogy where he's a disabled Army veteran in a wheelchair and his very pregnant wife slips off of a boat she was cleaning, hitting her head on the rocks and dies. (The baby survives though) It scarred me for life. That was back in the day that CMT actually played nonstop country music videos and we watched it ALL the time.
It's cool to see Travis team up with Chris Janson for this fun song that is country through and through. Travis sounds as fantastic as ever with his powerful soulful voice and it also includes a signature Chris Janson harmonica solo. Check it out and let me know what you think!
