We don't keep ice cream in our house unless my mother in law is coming to visit. She lives in Toledo, Ohio and loves ice cream but she says it's too cold to eat it up there. So she always eats ice cream when she comes to visit us in Florida.
Anyway, this looks like a fun way to make some ice cream with the kids and teach them a little bit of patience too! You just put the simple ingredients in a little mason jar, shake and freeze for three hours. I like that you can customize it with whatever stuff you have in the kitchen, everyone can make their own serving and then add toppings like crumbled cookies etc. after it freezes. Enjoy!
