"The Little Mermaid" has always been one of my top three classic Disney movies. 'Aladdin' and 'Beauty and the Beast' are the other two in case you were wondering. The way Ariel sang 'Out of This World' made me want to be a singer and while that didn't happen I can still sing it note and word for word.
When I heard they were making a live-action remake of this movie I was excited! I realize people have different opinions on the casting of Ariel, that's not what I'm concerned about.
It's the creepy CGI animal friends. They use CGI to make the animals look 'photo-realistic' but really it takes away all of their vibrant colors and personality. They did the same thing with the animals in 'The Lion King' and it makes them look drab. Anyway, see for your self and see if this is going to ruin the childhood memories you have .
