Palm Beach County spends a second consecutive year at the top for most antisemitic incidents.

The Anti-Defamation League has released its annual audit and notes that the state experienced a 24 percent decline in incidents in 2024, but Palm Beach had the most incidents, followed by Miami-Dade and Broward counties at second and third.

Despite that, the Tri-County area saw a reduction in antisemitic incidents from 2023.

Meanwhile, there were increases in Hillsborough, Duval and Lee counties. Those are the Tampa, Jacksonville and Fort Myers areas.

Overall, the ADL tracked 353 incidents across the state last year, which was down from 463 incidents in 2023.

Florida's overall decline in antisemitic incidents bucks a nationwide trend.

There were over 9,300 incidents which are defined as an assault, harassment or vandalism. That is a 5 percent increase from 2023 and up nearly 900 percent from 2014.

Florida lawmakers two years ago passed legislation that makes it a felony to harass individuals based on their religion or ethnicity and penalizing the distribution of hateful flyers, like the ones seen several times in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.
